Making an Entrance

Ok I know this is basically just asking for trouble because I just recently finished (well almost) my entry way. But I have them on the brain lately. There's so many ways to do an entry way. It's a small area with such a big impact. Like invitations set the tone for a wedding, so does an entry way.

I consider myself fortunate to even have an entry way. I obviously never had one in an apartment and I know many people who don't even have one in their house. I really dislike places that open right into the living room but there's really no other option in most older homes unfortunately.

This has always been one of my favorites.

Love the lucite console layered over a huge mirror! I need to try this somewhere. Sigh, another one for my future office maybe?

Have a great week everyone!

Girl. You are speaking my language this morning. I have been pouring over photos of entry ways, foyers and the like this week wondering how I might up the ante in my entry. Love all these photos. Especially the big stripe one!

I'm working on my front entrace right now. My credenza arrived last week and I've just ordered a chair. I'm impaired by the accessorizing though. These images are great inspiration. I've in love with lucite, so my fav is that last image.

I've been swooning over Colleen McGill's work in that entry way in the last photo ever since I laid eyes on it!! The oversized mirror is on my dream home must have list for sure :)

I so love the lucite console. I think that would look perfect in your office (it'd also be a super fun desk!).
