It started very subtly, but can now be found everywhere. Rugs in the kitchen bring a certain warmth only a rug can bring. It makes me happy to see how a rug can change a room and kitchens are no exception!

Do you have a rug in your kitchen? I wonder how often they get spilled on. In my house, it would be a lot!

I do and I love love the look- my only advice would be that darker is better- I have a creamy white one and it does get dirty with little kids and eating. I really adore the look of the antique rugs in contrast with a modern kitchen.
I wish that my cooking style would allow me to do something like this, but off the top of my head I can think of three cooking disaster that had me cleaning the floor and would have destroyed a rug! These are lovely!
beautiful round-up! i DO have a rug in my kitchen -- we went with the FLOR carpet tiles in a herringbone pattern and they're fantastic. They're a dark brown so splatter and such doesn't show and it really kind of just blends into our dark wood floors. i would recommend them b/c they're inexpensive and you can always replace a tile if it gets dirty.

I do not have a rug in my kitchen. Although I like the *look* of it, I imagine that we would be tripping over it a lot. I think that the Flor tiles would work well because they seem to grip the floor.
I love rugs in kitchens too. Meanwhile... I have been obsessing over the floor tiling in the first picture for about a week now. Total Obsession.
I love the look too! I especially love the first image from HIgh Gloss- such warmth right?!
I'm your newest follower- I noticed your commets at a couple other blogs I frequent! Have a nice day!
