Selina Lake Romantic Style Entry

I really want to submit a photo to Selena Lake's Romantic Style contest. Problem is, I can only submit one and I have several that I like. So I'm going to need your help, my bff blogging buddies to help me choose a photo! All these photos were taken by me I just want to know which one you think has the most romantic style.

A Nice Set of Doors

This time last year we were in Italy on our honeymoon. While we were there I took many pictures of beautiful doors which I hoped to turn in to artwork. These are some of my favorites...

The handle on this one was a coiled snake.

More Awesome Photos from DBF

I'm still basking in the afterglow of the Dallas Burlesque Festival and new pictures seem to arise all the time to keep it going. Right now we're gearing up for your next performance at the Deep Ellum Arts Festival on April 3rd. Mark your calendars! The Deep Ellum Arts Festival is a family friendly event with food, fun, entertainment, and most importantly independent art.

All photos from Ben Britt photography.

So great to be performing again, I can't wait for April 3rd!

Past + Present

I recently came across this Photographer Jason Powell. He digs up old photos and photographs them in front of the location as it is currently. It's a wonderful illustration of the passing of time.

Also, just a quick apology for my absence on my blog and all of yours as well. It's a crazy time of year and things have calmed a bit so you should see me around again. Thanks friends!

It Snowed Today!

Unfortunately I only got to enjoy it from the window of my office building. Hopefully next time I will get to have a good play with the dogs in some snow. Lovely!

This Makes Me Happy

From Here
Parachute day in gym class was something I looked forward to every year*. It saddens me to think that kids nowadays don't have regularly scheduled gym class anymore...
* I also really enjoyed crab soccer, if anyone remembers that game.

Amazing Artist- Imagine studio

I'm always amazed at the talent of people I come across on the internet. This latest discovery is via The Dustjacket Attic. This artist collages his images to make a fantastical image that will inspire you. Here are a few of my favorites;

Round Top Photos

I was gifted a used but lovely SLR camera from my father in law recently and I've been spending some time getting used to it. I don't have all the lens' I need for it yet but I was able to borrow one from FIL for the weekend and I took some lovely photos in Round Top. I can't wait to learn more about photography and I'm very excited about the pictures I've taken so far!

A collection of perfume bottles that shimmered in the morning light

A row of vintage slips

A suitcase full of gold

Colorful teacups

Row of gliding lawn chairs

Collection of brooches

Vintage chandeliers galore

Which one is your favorite? Stay tuned for pictures of all the goodies I picked up and I may have some exciting news to share with you tomorrow!
