I recently came across this Photographer Jason Powell. He digs up old photos and photographs them in front of the location as it is currently. It's a wonderful illustration of the passing of time.
Also, just a quick apology for my absence on my blog and all of yours as well. It's a crazy time of year and things have calmed a bit so you should see me around again. Thanks friends!
Thanks for dropping by! Finding something you have searched for a long time is so exiting isn't it :) What great images!! Bit like ghosts from the past. Best wishes, Irene X
I LOVE this. Makes me very curious about what the "present" looks like behind the "past" photograph. The guy who does the Magic Time Machine end-of-year video took the photograph of the original 1917 schoolhouse and faded it into the existing restaurant (very little has changed.)It was pretty cool seeing the building all alone in a field with antique cars in front of it, knowing it's now sitting in a city with more restaurants than residents...
Mandy, If you click on his name it will take you to his flikr account where you can see the present day location with not old photo blocking it. Very cool!
