Currently Craving: Something Apricot

*I started writing this post on January 23, oy! I wanted to fill it with so many images your head would explode. But alas, I don't have the time. I hope you enjoy anyways!

Something about the perfect shade of apricot brings spring to mind. I think this is the perfect shade to transition from winter to spring. Feast your eyes on this beautiful color...

February Windows

Now that I'm "head stylist" for the windows every month I get the opportunity to help all different kinds of brands with their window styling. The month of February was very appropriately reserved for the intimates brands.

This was such a lovely window! So light and airy and beautiful! I just love the iridescent stripe in the paint and frothy fabric covering the floor. The birds came out perfectly, although they were a biznatch to hang!

This window was more fun and flirty. I just love the glossy color on the floor, the name is Drop Dead Gorgeous, perfect! The glitter was such a nice edition to add that touch of glamour and sparkle when you walk by.
As usual the pictures never do it justice!

Gimme S'more!

I have a huge sweet tooth, it's no secret. Now I found a machine that will help fuel my addiction!

Valentine's Day Spread

Hubs and I aren't really big on valentine's day but we still enjoy a good date night every now and then. We went to Central Market to buy flowers and food to cook at home. It was wonderful!

Those are the only good pictures I got because my photo-taking was delaying the food-eating and Scott was yelling "how can you do this to meeeee?!", he was hungry...oops!

I've got the Blues

Are any of you friends with H&M on facebook? they are holding a contest right now where you submit a photo of yourself wearing one or more H&M pieces where blue is the dominant color of the outfit. Then the stylists will choose a few looks a week to be featured in the online campaign. As all of you know blue is a color at the top of my list right now and some amazing entries have been submitted for the contest. Sometimes the creativity of people just inspires me!

I wish I had an H&M by me so I could participate. The closest one is in St Louis, which I think is an 8 hour drive...le sigh...

DBF+FOW+BB

That would be Dallas Burlesque Festival + Flights of Whimsy + Bombshell Burlesque= An amazing weekend! We performed both nights to a standing ovation. The crowd was fantastic and both nights were fully sold out! Saturday night was the debut of my vintage jewelry and treasure hunting service. I made a lot of new friends and some money to boot. Here are a few pictures of the festivities...

Kick line to New York, New York (I am in the center)

We opened the show silhouetted behind the screen to Teeth by Lady Gaga (I am the one to the left of the center, at the bottom left point of the star)

Photo by my friend Courtney www.bellysbakeshop.com, seriously, if you need some baked goods go to her, I could eat her cupcakes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!

The fest is also great for people watching and I saw some really great fashion. Unfortunately I couldn't take as many pictures as I'd like since I was running around performing and selling (with a drink in my hand no less!)

My friend Laura and her husband

She is the queen of pasties! www.lauradarling.com

What can I say, this is awesome.

The emm cee for the night, local radio DJ Jesse from 102.1 The Edge. She was the first to snag my coveted snake ring. Here she is showing it off.

The show headline, Angie Pontani. The first night she did a strip tease in toe shoes, talk about talented!
I could have taken so many more lovely pictures of awesome people. I love the fashion at these events, it's so sparkly and over the top, just like I like it!
