I had a super duper productive weekend house-wise. I got the following accomplished;
Bought this dresser...
...and this mirror thingy from my former boss who is moving back to NYC for $200. Best. Deal. Ever.
Got my dining table. I am now searching for mismatched chairs of pure awesomeness.
Replanted the flower beds in the front and backyard (with a lot of help from my mom and MIL, they are greatness). The hydrangeas are going to look so pretty outside my kitchen window when they get big. Also got a super cute birdbath as well. Live long and prosper plants! My husband also completed several critical projects as well but they aren't pretty so I won't bore you with pictures of that. But he did work on the bainofmyexistence hump in our backyard and partially fix the sprinkler system that busted right as winter started last year. Yay us!

two great new additions. Now tell us about that piece you got from the boss. I think I love it. It's kind art deco, isn't it...is it mirrored? What will you do with it? You are one LUCKY girl...
Love the mis matched chairs.
I am in love with your dresser. Gorgeous! We haven't any bedroom furniture, other than the not-my-style-but-still-decent bed frame. (I'm not sure ANY of our furniture is my style, seeing as I've only purchased one item in my house...)
Anyway, my clothes storage system consists of laundry baskets buried beneath mountains of unfolded/unsorted clothes, and pushing my husbands items slowly out of the closet.
Someday, when I have money, I will kidnap you and force you to find fabulous things for me.
Perfect Gray: Yes it's a mirror and I am also in love with it. I think I'm going to put it on the mantle above my fireplace and make a little vignette with it. But that could easily change!
Beach Vintage: Thank you!
SuperMandy: There will be no forcing me to find you fabulous things. I will happily abide! I'm working on refinishing a dresser that we don't really need, maybe I could sell it to you on the cheap or you could buy it and refinish to your liking yourself! If you're interested I will send pics.
You were productive! Love the knobs on the dresser.
please post some images when you have it hung...!
You did have a busy weekend... love the dresser!
Blair: My old boss actually painted the front of that dresser red and glued and painted those little gold pieces on herself. I've had my eye on that dresser since I saw it and i'm so happy its part of my home now!
APG: Will do but it may take a while as I have to rip out our wetbar in order to relocate the TV from above the mantle to that space in order to put the mirror on the mantle. Stay tuned!
Cate: Thanks! I would love to see more pics of all the work you and Nate are doing on your home!
