March Windows

I am so excited to show you this month's windows! Filling up such a large space with nothing but scarves, shoes, and handbags was intimidating but I knew with the right themes it would be amazing. Since the windows have been up I've been getting emails from all my friends around the office on how much they like them and I hope you'll like them too!

First up is the juniors window. We are really trying to grow our business in juniors so we thought this would be a great focus for one window. We had so much bright product for this Spring season. I was inspired by Anthropolig'es spring windows to do a garden themed window. I wanted to do a lot of potted plants that were "growing" handbags and accessories so Juniors was perfect. We brainstormed to do a black and white background to really make the product pop. The rest of the fabulous details just fell into place after that!

For the opposite window we decided to focus on the modern women's brands. A big trend callout for the season was safari so we used that to build our idea around the product. We wanted it to be more of a Ralph Lauren version of Safari to keep it sophisticated so I worked with some of my old peeps in home to get us some furniture. The palm leaves in the back give a great pizzaz as well.

Snakes on a vine ohemgee!

Dem's the March windows!

February Windows

Now that I'm "head stylist" for the windows every month I get the opportunity to help all different kinds of brands with their window styling. The month of February was very appropriately reserved for the intimates brands.

This was such a lovely window! So light and airy and beautiful! I just love the iridescent stripe in the paint and frothy fabric covering the floor. The birds came out perfectly, although they were a biznatch to hang!

This window was more fun and flirty. I just love the glossy color on the floor, the name is Drop Dead Gorgeous, perfect! The glitter was such a nice edition to add that touch of glamour and sparkle when you walk by.
As usual the pictures never do it justice!

Anthro's Spring Windows

I continue to be in awe of the visual displays at Anthro. I follow them on facebook and they recently posted pictures of their Spring windows. Gorgeous of course so I had to share.

The pipes, the flowers, the planters, oh my!

All the flowers are made out of recycled plastic bottles, genius!

I want to do something similar for my accessories windows in March. Well, more inspired by I guess you would say...Can't wait!

Museum Windows

Last month I designed and installed my last windows in the home department before moving to accessories. Unfortunately I wasn't able to spend as much time on these windows as I usually like to and I think it shows. December was a busy month though and they still turned out relatively nice.

The first window is for the brand Artesia. It is a modern global brand which is totally my style. We wanted the window to represent an eclectic person who likes to travel so Jennifer suggested covering the walls with maps. It took a hell of a time to do it but I loved the look. Then we made up fake postcards and hung them with all our names on them. It came out very nice if I do say so!

Love the lamp in this one. It will be available in stores this spring.

The second window is for Linden Street. We have done this brand before in a big way so we wanted to show off different merchandise categories this time. We went with a holiday dinner scene with a nice tablescape. I love the glow of the Christmas tree and the whitewashed furniture this brand has. We also put the team's names on all the stockings in the front, so cute!

Now that I'm in accessories we have the windows for the month of March and I'm so excited! I already have many ideas brewing to make them look fabulous!

Museum Windows

Jennifer and I decorated the windows this month for Chris Madden and Studio. I had to design the concept and gather samples on my own since Jennifer was in Greece. It's hard to be creative when you don't have someone to talk through your ideas with but they actually came out very nice.

The first one is Chris Madden. It's a very traditional brand with a lot of embellishment. Jennifer and I sketched out the frames in the back and then a friend painted over them with gold. They turned out to be a very nice focal point.

The second one is Studio. It's more of a modern and transitional brand. We used the tag line "A new point of view" for this window. I love how things are all askew in this window.

Jennifer and I joked that we find a way to use fishing wire in every window that we do. I just love the way it makes things seem to float around.
